An
Ordinance to amend the Explosive Substances Act, 1908, in its application to
the Province of West Pakistan
Preamble.— WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the
Explosive Substances Act, 1908, in its application to the Province of West
Pakistan in the manner hereinafter appearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Martial Law
Proclamation of 25th March, 1969, read with the Provisional Constitution Order,
and in pursuance of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Governor of
West Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:-
1. Short title and commencement.— (1) This Ordinance may be called the
Explosive Substances (West Pakistan Amendment) Ordinance, 1970.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment
of section 7, Act VI of 1908.— In the Explosive Substances Act, 1908, in its
application to the Province of West Pakistan, in section 7, between the word
“Government” and the full-stop at the end, the words “or an officer authorised
in this behalf by the Provincial Government” shall be inserted.
