An Act to validate the embodiment of certain units of the
Pakistan National Guard to support and supplement the Pakistan Army
WHEREAS it is expedient to validate the embodiment of
certain units of the Pakistan
National Guard to support and supplement the Pakistan Army;
It is hereby enacted as follows:‑--
1. Short title and commencement----‑ (1) This Act may be called the Embodiment (Pakistan
National Guard) (Validation) Act, 1951.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Validation of certain embodiments.---Notwithstanding anything in the Pakistan National Guard Act,
1950, including the repeal of the Pakistan National Guard Ordinance, 1947, by
section 19 of that Act, the embodiment of any unit of the Pakistan National
Guard to support and supplement the Pakistan Army heretofore made with effect
from any date posterior to the promulgation of the aforesaid Ordinance and
anterior to the commencement of the aforesaid Act is hereby declared to be
lawful and valid.
3. Indemnity.---No
suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding, and no proceeding by way of
petition, shall lie against or to the (Subs by A.O., 1961 Art. 2 for “Crown”
(with effect from the 23rd March 1956) [Government] or any person or
authority for anything which is or has been in good faith done or intended to
be done in respect of or in pursuance of such embodiment so far as concerns the
validity of the same.
