An
Act
to amend certain laws of the
Punjab for purposes of fair representation of
women in decision-making
process and their empowerment.
Whereas it is expedient to amend certain
laws of the Punjab for purposes of ensuring fair representation of women in
decision-making bodies and their empowerment;
It
is enacted as follows:
1.
Short title,
extent and commencement.– (1) This Act may be cited as the Punjab Fair
Representation of Women Act 2014 (IV of 2014).
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2.
Amendment of
certain laws.– The laws specified in the second column of the Schedule
appended to this Act are amended to the extent and in the manner mentioned in
the third column of the Schedule:
