The Balochistan Assembly Members (Salaries, Allowances,
and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill, 2014. (Bill No.14 of 2014), having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of
Balochistan on 1st February, 2014 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 14th February, 2014 is hereby published
as an Act of the Balochistan Provincial
Assembly.
THE BALOCHISTAN
ASSEMBLY MEMBERS (SALARIES, ALLOWANCES, AND PRIVILEGES) (AMENDMENT) ACT
2014 (ACT NO. XIII OF 2014).
(First
published after having received the assent of the Governor Balochistan in the
Balochistan Gazette (Extra-ordinary) dated 14th February 2014).
An
ACT
further to amend the
Balochistan Assembly Members (Salaries,
Allowances and
Privileges) Act, 1975.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the
Balochistan
Assembly Members (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges)
1975,
Act
II of 1975 in the manner hereinafter appearing:- It
is hereby enacted as follows:-

Short
title and commencement.
|
1(1) This Act may be called the
Balochistan Assembly Members
(Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) (Amendment) Act,
2014.
|
|
|
|
(2)
It shall come into force at once.
|
|
|
Amendment
of
Section
3 of Act II of 1975.
|

In the Balochistan Assembly Members (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges), 1975 (Act II of
1975), hereinafter referred to
as the said Act, in Section 3 for the words “twenty thousand rupees “the words “sixty thousand rupees ” shall be substituted.

Amendment
of
Section
4 of Act II of 1975.
|

In the said Act, in Section 4 for the words “one thousand rupees” the words “four thousand
rupees ” shall be substituted.
|
|
|
Amendment
of
Section
5 of Act II of 1975.
|
4 In the said Act, in clause (b) of
Section 5 the words “Economy Class” the words “Business Class” shall be
substituted.
|
|
|
Amendment
of
Section
5-B of
|
5 In the said Act, for Section 5-B, the following shall be substituted:-
|
Act II of 1975. “A Member shall be paid Free
Traveling Allowance (F.T.A)
Amendment of
Section 6 of Act II of 1975.
of five
hundred thousand rupees per annum in Travel vouchers or Cash”.
6 In
the said Act, for Section 6, the following shall be substituted:- Other
facilities:-
Amendment of
Section 7 of Act II of 1975.
A
member shall in addition to salary and allowances be entitled to:-
a.
House Rent Allowance @ rupees fifty thousand per month.
b.
Utility Allowance (Electricity & Gas) @ rupees
twenty thousand per month.
c.
Rupees ten thousand per month as telephone
charges.
d.
Rupees three thousand per day as conveyance allowance
only during Assembly Session.
e.
Discretionary grant @ rupees twelve hundred
thousand per annum.
7. In the said Act, for the Section 7, the
following shall be
substituted:-
“Inclusive of the salary, allowances and privileges admissible as Member, the
Leader of the Opposition shall
be entitled to:-
(a)
Consolidated Salary of
rupees ninety thousand per month.
(b)
Free official residence or upto rupees seventy thousand
per month if residence is rented or rupees fifty thousand per month if he
resides in his own house.
(c)
An official vehicle
maintained at Government expense.
(d)
Sumptuary Allowance @ twenty thousand rupees per
month.
(e)
Travel by air in Business class.
(f)
Free Travel Allowance (F.T.A) of rupees five hundred thousand per annum in Travel vouchers or
Cash.
(g)
Office Telephone with no limit ceiling and residence
upto rupees ten thousand per month
with official mobile SIM.
Amendment
of
Section 7-B of
Act II of 1975
(h)
The Utility Bills (Gas & Electricity) of his
residence shall be borne by
Government.
(i)
Daily Allowance
@ rupees seven thousand per day.
(j)
A sum of rupees forty eight hundred thousand per
annum shall be placed at his disposal
as Discretionary Grant.
(k)
Services of a whole time Senior Scale Stenographer and
a Naib Qasid in the office”
In the
said Act, in Section 7-B for the words “one thousand rupees “the words “four
thousand rupees” shall be
substituted.
