Balochistan on  28^th January,2011 and assented  to by the Governor Balochistan on    3^rd Feberuary,2011is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly.

THE  BALOCHISTAN PROVINCIAL EMPLOYEES GROUP INSURANCE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2011

ACT NO.I OF 2011.

(First published after having received the assent of the  Governor of Balochistan in the Balochistan Gazette (Extra-ordinary) dated 3^rd Feb:2011.)

	AN ACT             further to amend the Balochistan Provincial Employees Group Insurance Act, 2009, (Act No. X of 2009).
Preamble.	WHEREAS, it is expedient further to amend the Balochistan Provincial Employees Group Insurance Act, 2009 (Act No. X of 2009) in the manner and for the purpose hereinafter appearing;             It is hereby enacted as follows:
Short title, and commencement.	1.   (1)   This Act may be called the Balochistan Provincial Employees Group Insurance (Amendment) Act, 2011.       (2)    It shall come into force at once.
Amendment of Section 2, Balochistan Act No. X of 2009	2.         In the Balochistan Provincial Employees Group Insurance Act, 2009 (Act No. X of 2009) hereinafter referred as the said Act, in section 2, after clause (k) the following new clause shall be added, namely:-            “(I)     Schedule” means the schedule appended to this Act.”
Amendment of Section 4, Balochistan Act No. X of 2009.	3.         In the said Act, in section 4, in sub-section (1), in clauses (e), (f) and (g) the word “Additional” appearing before the word “Secretary” shall be omitted.
Amendment of Section 14, Balochistan Act No. X of 2009	4.         In the said Act, in section 14, for the words “of the schedule” the words, figure and sign “and column 3 of the Schedule respectively,” shall be substituted.
Amendment of Schedule to the Balochistan Act No. X of 2009	5.         In the said Act, for the Existing schedule the following shall be Substituted, namely:- “SCHEDULE (See Section 13 and 14) GROUP INSURANCE           The rate of contribution to the Provincial Employees Group Insurance Fund and the amount of sum assured to be paid to the employees or to the family of an employee, shall be as under:-

GRADE OF GOVT SERVANT ASSURED SUM ON RETIREMENT ASSURED SUM ON DEATH MONTHLY DEDUCTION OF PREMIUM (In Rupees) (1) (2) (3) (4) BPS 01-04 120,000 150,000 135 BPS 05-10 150,000 187,500 170 BPS 11-15 250,000 312,500 280 BPS 16 400,000 500,000 450 BPS 17 500,000 625,000 560 BPS 18 700,000 875,000 780 BPS 19 850,000 1,062,500 890 BPS 20 & above 1,000,000 1,250,000 1,100                     Provided that the sum assured will be paid to employee or his family at the time of retirement or death according to his last Pay Scale/Grade.            Provided further that in case an employee has been promoted after his retirement/death the differential amount shall be paid according to the revised grade/pay subject to payment of difference in premium.”
