THE PARKS AND HORTICULTURE AUTHORITY (AMENDMENT) ACT 2015

to amend the Parks and Horticulture Authority Act 2012.

Preamble.– Whereas it is expedient to amend the Parks and Horticulture Authority Act 2012 (XLVII of 2012) for purposes hereinafter appearing; It is enacted as follows:

1.            Short title and commencement.– (1) This Act may be cited as the Parks and Horticulture Authority (Amendment) Act 2015.

(2)       It shall come into force at once.

2.            Amendment in section 2 of Act XLVII of 2012.– In the Parks and Horticulture Authority Act 2012 (XLVII of 2012), hereinafter referred to as the said Act, in section 2, in clause (p), after the word “rules”, the words “or regulations” shall be inserted.

3.            Amendment in section 6 of Act XLVII of 2012.– In the said Act, in section 6, in subsection (1), after clause (g), the following clause (gg) shall be inserted:

“(gg)    Commissioner of the Division concerned;          Member”.

4.            Amendment in section 25 of Act XLVII of 2012.– In the said Act, in section 25, in subsection (2), the word “private” shall be omitted.

5.            Amendment in section 31 of Act XLVII of 2012.– In the said Act, for section 31, the following shall be substituted:

“31. Regulations.– Subject to the Act and the rules, the Board may, by notification in the official Gazette, make regulations for carrying out the purposes of the Act.”
