to amend the North-West Frontier Province Wild-Life (Protection, Preservation, conservation and Management) Act, 1975.

Preamble

WHEREAS, it 's expedient to amend the North-West Frontier Province Wild-Life (Protection, Preservation, Conservation and Management) Act 1975 (N.,W-F.P. Act, V Of 1975), in the manner hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted as follows:—

Short title, extent and commencement.

1.         (1) This Act, may be called the North-West Frontier Province Wild Life (protection, Preservation, Conservation and Management) Amendment) Act, 1976.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

Amendment of section 8, N.W.F.P. Act V of 1975

2.         In the North-West Frontier Province Wild-Life (Protection, Preservation, Conservation and Management) Act, 1975 (N-W.F.P. Act, V of 1975), hereinafter referred to as the said Act, in section 8—.

(a)     for clause (vii), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:—
         (vii) except in the case of ducks of all kinds, hunt with the help of decoys or call birds; and
(b)     for clause (ix), the following clause shall be substituted, namely: —
         "(ix) except in the case of ducks of all kinds, hunt, after sunset and before sunrise; and."

3.         In the First Schedule to the said Act,—             (a)     in column 2, for the word "five", appearing for the first time against the entry" Anatidae: Ducks", the word "Twenty" shall be substituted ; and

            (b)    in cloumn4, for the figures and words "1st November to 1st March" appearing for the first time against the entry "Anatidae: Ducks", the figures and words "1st September to 15th April", shall be substituted.

4.         In the Third Schedule to the said Act,—             (a)     in the last entry at serial No.4, for the words, comma and semi-colon "Ridge, Himaleyensis;", the word, comma and semi-comma Snow Partridge, Himalayensis," shall be substituted; and

            (b)    for the twenty-fourth entry at serial No.5, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:—
                        "Felis margarita; Sand Cat.—
                        Pantherapardis; Leopatd".

5.         The North-West Frontier Province Wild-Life (protection, Preservation, Conservation and Management (Amendment) Ordinance, 1976, is hereby repealed.
