SUPREME COURT RULES, 1980
(Addition
of 0. IV, R.23)

No. F.59/80‑SCA, dated
16‑7‑1987.‑‑ In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 191 of the
Constitution, the Supreme Court has directed that the following additions
should be made in the Supreme Court Rules, 1980, namely:‑‑
(A) the following
proviso should be added to rule 23, Order IV:‑‑
"Provided that
where a person is not represented by an Advocate‑on‑Record or has been
permitted by the Court to appear in person, he shall be subject to same
discipline and restrictions as are applicable to an Advocate‑on‑Record."
(B) the following new
rule No.ll should be added to Order XIV:‑
"11. Except where
otherwise ordered by the Court, the provisions
contained in these Rules
shall not be applicable where a petition on grant of leave to appeal has been
converted into an appeal by the Court and disposed of accord&gly. The
appeal shall, however, be registered.".
