No.PAB/Legis: V (12)/2014.        The Balochistan Chief Minister and Provincial Ministers (Salaries, Allowances, and Privileges (Amendment) Bill, 2014.  (Bill No.12 of 2014), having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 1st February, 2014 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 14th  February, 2014 is hereby published as an Act of the Balochistan  Provincial Assembly.

 further to amend the Balochistan Chief Minister  and Provincial Ministers (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) Act, 1975 (Balochistan Act III of 1975). 

                                      Preamble.            WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Balochistan Chief Minister and Provincial Ministers (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) Act III of 1975 in the manner  hereinafter appearing:
It is hereby enacted as follows:-

       Short title and            1.(1) This Act  may be called the Balochistan Chief Minister and  commencement.          Provincial Ministers’ (Salaries, Allowances and  Privileges)     (Amendment) Act, 2014.  



(1) It shall come into force at once.


Amendment of
Section 3 of Act III of 1975.
    2. In the Balochistan Chief Minister and Provincial Ministers (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) Act, 1975 hereinafter referred to as the said Act, in Section 3 for the words “rupees thirty  thousand and thirty five thousand” the words “rupees ninety  thousand and  rupees one hundred thousand” shall be substituted. 


Amendment of
Section 6 of Act III of  1975.
   3. In the said Act, in Section 6.-
(a)  in sub section (1) for the words “appropriate amount” the  words “thirty thousand rupees”  shall be substituted.


 Amendment of section 7-A  of
Act III of 1975.
(b)  in sub section (2) for the words “ six thousand” the words
“twenty thousand rupees” shall be substituted. 

4.    In the said Act, for Section 7-A, the following shall be substituted:-




Amendment of
Section 8 of Act III of 1975.
   5.    In the said Act in Section 8 :-

(a)    for the sub section (2)  the following shall be substituted:-        “(2) The electricity, fuel and gas charges in respect of Chief        
             Minister and Minister shall be borne by the Government.”
(b)    In sub section(4) for the words “two hundred thousand  rupees” the words “five hundred thousand rupees” shall be substituted.
(c)    sub section (5) and sub section(6) shall be omitted.




Amendment of
Section 8-A of
Act III of 1975.
    6.   In the said Act in Section 8-A for the words “thirty thousand             rupees”, “twenty five thousand rupees” and “fifteen thousand             rupees” the words “fifty thousand rupees”, ”seventy                 thousand rupees” and “fifty thousand rupees” shall be              substituted respectively.     


Amendment of
Section 9 of Act III of 1975.
   7.    In the said Act in Section 9.-

       (a)  in sub-section (1) the full stop appearing at the end shall be               substituted by colon and thereafter the following new                clause (i) shall be inserted-.
       “(i) The Chief Minister and Minister shall be entitled to draw                rupees six hundred thousand and five hundred thousand                 per annum respectively in Travel vouchers or Cash.”        (b)   in sub section (2) for the words “first class and economy class respectively” the words “Business Class” shall be substituted.     
            

Amendment of
    8.    In the said Act, in  Section 11, for the words “ one thousand  
“The Chief Minister and a  Minister shall be entitled to telephone facilities at office without ceiling and at residence upto a maximum ceiling of fifteen thousand and ten thousand rupees respectively with official mobile phone connection (SIM) both for official and private purpose throughout the term of their office and for a period of fifteen days immediately thereafter. They will also be entitled to free telephone facility while on tour where such facility is available.”
Section 11 of Act III of 1975.

Sub section of  Section 14 of
Act III of 1975.
    9.    In the said Act, for Section 14 the following shall be               substituted:- 
           “The Chief Minister and a Provincial Minister shall be                   entitled to Medical facilities as admissible to Civil Servants               of the highest category.”       
 

Amendment of
Section 15 of
Act III of 1975.
    10.   In the said Act, in Section 15 in sub section 2 for the words              “thirty five thousand rupees and thirty thousand rupees” the                 words “full pay” shall be substituted.


Amendment of
Section 18-A of Act III of 1975.
    11.  In the said Act, for  Section 18-A for the words “rupees five              lacs and rupees three lacs” the words “forty-eight hundred              thousand rupees per annum” shall be substituted.
