BALOCHISTAN SEA FISHERIES (AMENDMENT) ACT 2014 (ACT NO. IX OF 2014)

No.PAB/Legis: V (12)/2014.        The Balochistan Sea Fisheries (Amendment) Bill, 2014.  
(Bill No.10 of 2014), having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 1st February, 2014 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 14th  February, 2014 is hereby published as an Act of the Balochistan  Provincial Assembly.

 THE BALOCHISTAN SEA FISHERIES (AMENDMENT) ACT 2014 (ACT NO. IX OF 2014).

(First published after having received the assent of the Governor Balochistan in the Balochistan
Gazette (Extra-ordinary) dated 14th February 2014).

                                                           ACT
further to amend the Balochistan Sea Fisheries Ordinance, 1971(Balochistan Ordinance  No. IX of 1971).
                       
                         
             

Preamble        
WHEREAS , it is expedient further to amend the Balochistan Sea 
                         

Fisheries Ordinance, 1971 in the manner hereinafter appearing;
                         

            It is hereby enacted as follows:
Short title and
2.         (1)       This Act may be called the Balochistan Sea 
commencement.
             
Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 2014.
(2)  It shall come into force at once.
Amendment of 
3.         In the Balochistan Sea Fisheries Ordinance, 1971
Section 9,        
(Ordinance No. IX of 1971), hereinafter referred as the said
Ordinance No.IX 
Act, in Section 9, for the second proviso the following shall 
Of 1971.          

be substituted, namely:-
                         
            “ Provided further that fishing craft/trawler operating
                         
with the banned fishing gear/net or without valid fishing license 
                         
shall also be liable to confiscation along with the banned fishing
                         
gear/net; and on conviction the banned fishing gear/net shall be 
                       destroyed in the presence of a Magistrate, while the fishing                               craft/trawler shall be auctioned through wide publicity in leading                         newspapers’’.
Omission of              4.         In the above said Act, Section 10 shall be omitted. Section 10,
Ordinance No. IX of 1971.
