BALOCHISTAN SPEAKER’S AND DEPUTY SPEAKER’S (SALARIES, ALLOWANCES, AND PRIVILEGES) (AMENDMENT) ACT 2014 (ACT NO. XII OF 2014).

No.PAB/Legis: V (13)/2014.        The Balochistan Speaker’s and Deputy Speaker’s (Salaries, Allowances, and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill, 2014.  (Bill No.13 of 2014), having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 1st February, 2014 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 14th  February, 2014 is hereby published as an Act of the Balochistan  Provincial Assembly.

 THE BALOCHISTAN SPEAKER’S AND DEPUTY SPEAKER’S (SALARIES, ALLOWANCES, AND PRIVILEGES) (AMENDMENT) ACT 2014 (ACT NO. XII OF 2014).

         (First published after having received the assent of the Governor Balochistan in the Balochistan Gazette (Extra-ordinary) dated 14th February 2014).


AN
ACT


 further to amend the Balochistan Speaker’s  and Deputy Speaker’s (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) Act, 1975.  


            Preamble.      WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Balochistan
Speaker’s and Deputy Speaker’s (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) Act, 1975 in the manner hereinafter appearing:-

                It is hereby enacted as follows;

       Short title and            1        (1)  This Act  may be called the Balochistan Speaker’s and  commencement.      Deputy Speaker’s (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) (Amendment) Act, 2014. 


          (2)   It shall come into force at once.

Amendment of
Section 5 of  
Act-V of 1975.
2     In the Balochistan Speaker’s and Deputy Speaker’s  (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) Act 1975 hereinafter referred to as the said Act, in Section 5 for the words “thirty two thousand rupees” and “twenty seven thousand rupees” the words “one hundred thousand rupees and  “ninety thousand rupees respectively” shall be substituted. 

Amendment of
Section 6  of  
Act-V of 1975.
3            In the said Act, for the Section 6.- 
(a)  in sub section (3) for the words “three hundred thousand rupees “and “two hundred thousand rupees” the words No limit” and “five hundred thousand rupees respectively” shall be substituted.
(b)  in sub section(4) .-
i)in clause (i) for the words “rupees fifty thousand” the 
                   words “seventy thousand rupees” shall be substituted.
         
ii)                  in clause (ii) for the words “fifteen thousand rupees”                         the words “fifty thousand rupees” shall be substituted; 
           
iii)                clause (iii) shall be omitted.        
                

Amendment of Section 6-A of Act-V 1975.
4          In the said Act for Section 6-A, the following shall be        substituted:-
               “6-A, The Speaker and a Deputy Speaker shall be entitled 
                to telephone facilities at office with no limit and                 at the residence up to ceiling of “rupees fifteen thousand”                 to the Speaker and “rupees ten thousand to the Deputy                  Speaker per men sum. The Speaker and Deputy Speaker       shall also be entitled to official mobile phone connection  (SIM) both for official and private purpose throughout the  term of their office and for a period of fifteen days  thereafter. They will also be entitled to free telephone  facility while on tour where such facility is available.” 

Amendment of
Section 6-B of
Act-V of 1975.
     5        In the said Act, for   Section 6-B,   the following shall be                substituted:-

              “6-B   Utility Bills, Utility Bills(Gas and Electricity) of the 


               residencies of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker shall be                 borne by the Government”.    

Amendment of
Section 9 of   Act-V 1975.
6          In the said Act, in Section 9:-
       (a)    for  sub-section (1) the  following shall be  substituted:-      “(1) Subject to the provisions made hereinafter the           Speaker and Deputy Speaker traveling on official duty       shall be entitled to get “rupees fifteen thousand” and          rupees seven  thousand” respectively as daily allowance.” (b)   After sub section(1) as so amended, the following clause            (a)  shall be inserted:-
          “(a) The Speaker and Deputy Speaker shall be entitled to    draw six hundred thousand rupees and five hundred           thousand rupees respectively per annum as Free      Travelling Allowance (F.T.A) in Travelling vouchers or    Cash.”      

Amendment of 
Section 12 of
Act-V of  1975.
      7        In the said Act  for  Section 12, the following shall be                  substituted:-
                “The Speaker and a Deputy Speaker shall be entitled to                  medical facilities as admissible to Civil Servants of the                  highest category”.          

Amendment of
Section 13-A of Act-V of 1975.
       8      In the said Act, for the Section 13-A for the words “thirty                two thousand rupees”  and “twenty seven thousand                rupees” the words “full pay” shall be substituted.

Amendment of
Section 15 of
Act-V of 1975.
       9      In the said Act, for the Section 15, the following shall be                substituted:-
                “The Speaker and Deputy Speaker shall receive a                   Sumptuary Allowance of  rupees thirty thousand and                  rupees twenty thousand per month respectively”.      

Amendment of
Section 15 -A of Act-V of 1975.
       10     In the said Act, in Section 15 –A for the words “rupees                  four hundred thousand and two hundred thousand” the                  words “ forty eight hundred thousand rupees each shall 
                 be substituted and the words “respectively” appearing                   before word ‘for’ shall be omitted.
