(AMENDMENT) Act, 2010

AN

ACT

                 (First published after having received the assent of the Governor of Balochistan in the Balochistan Gazette (Extra – ordinary) dated the 16^th June, 2010).

further to amend the Quetta Water and Sanitation Authority Act 2004 (Act No. XII of 2004)

Preamble                                          WHEREAS, it is expedient further to amend the Quetta Water and Sanitation Authority Act 2004 (Act No.XII of 2004) for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

                                                It is hereby enacted as follows: 

                                   

Short title, extent    1.         (1)       This bill may be called the Quetta Water and

And                                                   Sanitation Authority (Amendment) Act, 2010.

Commencement      

(2)              It shall com into force at once.

Amendment of        2.         In the Quetta Water and Sanitation Authority Act 2004 (Act  

Section 6 Act XII                 No.XII of 2004)   hereinafter   referred  to  as  the said Act, in

0f 2004                                  Section 6 for the words “Nazim Quetta City District Government” the words “Minister WASA” shall be substituted.

Amendment of      3.          In the said Act in Section 34 (1) the words “with the prior

Act XII of 2004.                   shall be omitted.

Substitution of       4.          In the said Act, for Section 36, the following shall be          

Section 36                             substituted; 

Act XII of 2004.                   “36 Whoever contravenes any provision of this Act or regulation or licenses made there under shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine not exceeding Rupees five thousand or with both.”

Amendment of        5.         In  the  said   Act  in  Section 37 (1)  and  (2)  for  the  words   

Section 37                             “five  thousand”   the  word  “ten thousand”  shall  be
