WEST PAKISTAN REGULATION AND CONTROL OF LOUD SPEAKERS AND SOUND AMPLIFIERS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 2007

AN

ORDINANCE

to amend the West Pakistan Regulation and Control of Loudspeakers and Sound Amplifiers Ordinance, 1965 in its application to the Islamabad Capita! Territory 

WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the West Pakistan Regulation and Control of Loudspeakers and Sound Amplifiers Ordinance, 1965 (W. P. Ord. II of 1965), fix: the purposes hereinafter appearing;

AND WHEREAS the National Assembly is not in session and the President is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 89 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:-

1. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Ordinance may be called the West Pakistan regulation and Control of Loudspeakers and Sound Amplifiers (Amendment) Ordinance, 2007.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 3, W. P. Ordinance II of 1965.-In the West Pakistan Regulation and Control of Loudspeakers and Sound Amplifiers Ordinance, 1965 (W. P. Ord. II of 1965), in section 3,—

(a)       for the words "one month" the words "three months" shall be substituted; and

(b)       for the words "two hundred" the words "one thousand" shall be substituted.
